Philippe Weissberg

Founder and Managing Principal at W Equities. Philippe is responsible for overseeing all functions at W Equities with a particular emphasis on financial obligations, risk management, and transaction and strategic analysis. Philippe’s active and entrepreneurial abilities have allowed him to adapt to market cycles, while always searching for new opportunities to create value and achieve superior risk adjusted returns.

Philippe’s career in real estate has spanned over 25 years and he has acquired over $2 billion of commercial real estate in New York City, Europe, and the Caribbean. He has partnered with some of the most active global financial institutions as well as HNW investors. He has a proven track record with IRRs exceeding 25% and equity multiples of 2.4x. In 2004, Philippe co-founded Madison Capital, a real estate business that grew to acquire and manage over $1.8 billion of real estate. 

Prior to founding Madison, he founded Savanna Partners in 1992, a real estate development company that pioneered residential re-development of office and industrial properties in lower Manhattan. In 2000, Philippe formed Bluestar LLC, a management company that oversees his personal real estate portfolio and other private holdings. Philippe’s passion is design and architecture. His hobby is developing high-end homes and is currently building houses in Herzlia, Israel, Southampton, NY, LA, and Anguilla. Philippe earned a B.A. cum laude in Economics from Brandeis University in 1987 and read politics, philosophy and economics at Oxford University from 1985-1986.

Benjamin Weinstein

Board Advisor at W Equities. In this capacity, Benjamin is responsible for sourcing and analyzing potential acquisitions and financing all investments, including direct property acquisitions, loan investments and note acquisitions, and non-real estate investments.

Benjamin began his career as an Analyst and later, an Associate, at Huron Consulting Group where he performed strategy consulting work for clients. At Huron, Benjamin scoped, designed and implemented systems to bolster competitive advantage and generate substantial net operating profit improvement for clients. 

Benjamin earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Studies with a focus on Operational Strategy and Economics from The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. 


Barry Weiss

Chief Financial Officer at W Equities. In this role, Barry leads the administration of finance and accounting of all properties, including coordination of financial and tax reporting, budgeting, treasury functions, monitoring of asset performance and maintaining controls.

Additionally, Barry facilitates preparation of cash flow projections as well as anticipated costs and budgets across all residential and development projects. He also maintains the quality of all data for each asset in the firm's debt and equity portfolios, and the compilation of deal level and firm level performance metrics.

Prior to joining W Equities, Barry has had vast experience in leading financial and accounting departments in both public and private companies.

Barry graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Brooklyn College.
